Dear all,

We are pleased to inform you that, as of 1 April 2026, Nicolas WIDMER takes up his new position as a voluntary professor.

Dr. Nicolas Widmer, a federally certified pharmacist, has extensive training: he holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the University of Lausanne (2006) and specialized in hospital pharmacy (2005) and then in clinical pharmacology (2009). His career is distinguished by a consistent blend of clinical and academic expertise.

After heading the Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) unit at the University Hospital of Vaud from 2006 to 2013, he currently serves as Director of the Pharmacy for the Hospitals of Eastern Lake Geneva and Chief Pharmacist at the Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais in Rennaz. He also works in Bern for the Federal Office for National Economic Supply as deputy head of the Therapeutic Products division. While fulfilling these hospital and administrative responsibilities, he maintains close ties with the Vaud University Hospital Center as a part-time research director and has been a private lecturer at the University of Geneva since 2018, with operational responsibility for its Specialized Center for Emergency and Disaster Pharmacy.

In recognition of his expertise and to strengthen his academic commitment, Dr. Widmer has been appointed as a volunteer professor at the University of Geneva, within the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Western Switzerland (ISPSO), effective April 1, 2026.

In the name of the presidency,
